Fire Action Plans
A Fire Action Plan is not the same as a Fire Risk Assessment. Under current legislation, every business that employs 5 or more staff must be able to demonstrate that:
- All fire risks have been compiled and recorded within a fire risk assessment report
- Documentary evidence detailing that fire fighting equipment has been installed, is properly maintained and is regularly inspected
- A Fire Action Plan has been published
- There are sufficient means of fire detection, warning systems and escape routes in place to allow people to exit the building safely
- Employees have received fire training in the use of the equipment and the procedures in the event of fire
AFS Fire Safety Consultants Ltd can help you create a bespoke Fire Action Plan for your company keeping both your employees and visitors safe
