Recommended for: Staff who work with hazardous substances as part of their daily tasks.

Introduction: An ever-increasing amount of substances are used in the workplace. Unfortunately, many of these substances can be present varying levels of risk to the user and those close by.

This training can help staff understand the ways hazardous substances enter the body and the potential health effects, the various types of hazardous substances and ways to reduce risks to health.

Aim: To give awareness of the health and safety risks associated with hazardous substances and measures that can be taken to eliminate or control these risks..

Objectives: The student will be able to: 

• Understand and recognise the hazards posed by hazardous substances.
• Implement the correct emergency procedures.
